Holiday Art in Vacancies @ Gateway mall in Salt Lake City
The longest day must have its close – the gloomiest day will wear on to a morning.
Author Harriet Beecher Stowe
In this season of the year, we get to go through the darkest, coldest time. Thoughts are growing inwards looking ourselves closely. This deep moment leads us to complete a circle of year. It is a form of therapy that purges dangerous emotions then we can be ready to welcome new start. Throughout the process, like a tree, human engraves annual cycle on our body. It imprints a series of memory and builds layers of experience on our cells. This art work is a collection of skin imprints using aged paraffin wax to capture the beauty of the organic texture.
